RATtreks.com is a website dedicated to those who love the outdoors and especially the incredible beauty and waterfalls found among the Appalachian mountains in the East Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia regions. The reason this is called RATtreks is because my initials are R.A.T. and I have been known as 'RAT' or 'RAT > PATROL' among the trail community for over 20 years now. I have always loved being outdoors and hiking among the mountains of the Southeast where I have lived most of my life. I have been a trail maintainer for the Carolina Mountain Club working on the Appalachian Trail for over 20 years and try to get out to the woods and waterfalls as often as possible. My hiking friends and I have quite a collection of pics and trail stories that I feel obliged to share with others here so I hope you enjoy them.
