Since there is deep water at the base of this 'blockage' it would require getting wet and also for us a rope to climb this vertically, and going underwater is no longer possible as the other side is now clogged with a strainer of debris. Most visitors here never enter the bowels of the slot but simply go around it. Our intentions was to go up the gut all the way so we would go around the right side of this 'blockage' and then descend back down into it

The foundation upon which he is standing is the 'clogged drain' so to speak of the slot canyon as this is where the water seeps through to reach that deep dark pool you seen from the other side. it was springy and I felt as if it could bust through at any moment
